At the ATLAS 70th year gala dinner Churchill were successful in winning the lightning protection & earthing installation project category and received a highly commended award in the specialist access category.

The lightning protection award recognised Churchill’s achievements in completing the £250k lightning protection upgrade of various buildings on the Open University at Milton Keynes, with the majority of the work taking place during student exams.

The highly commended award recognised Churchill’s achievements in completing both the £1.5m refurbishment of the 80.0m tall SMITE boiler flues and support structure at BAE Barrow in Furness and the restoration of the 50 metre tall Edwardian brick chimney at the old Horlicks factory, now owned by GSK, in Slough Berkshire.
